Learn tips and tricks of the trade so that you can get the best out of your cut flowers and greenery. Discover the necessary tools and equipment needed with specialised guidance on proper usage.

You will not only learn how to arrange beautiful blooms to create stunning bouquets to brighten up your home, you can take home your designer posy. All equipment supplied and includes fresh flowers, foliage, ribbons, wires, tapes, snips and pliers.

Where: Level 1, outside Myer and Swarovski

When: Sunday 8 October, 15 October and 29 October

Time: 10:30am only

What to bring: just yourself as all material will be supplied.

How: The Workshops cost $20 per session. Bookings are essential.

About the presenter - Noel Burdette

Noel is well known for his passion for cottage gardens, perennials , unusual and rare plants and naturalistic garden design that support healthy backyard ecologies.
A trained florist who has spent many years making beautiful floral arrangements and sharing his depth of knowledge in flower preparation, caring for cut flowers and how to combine colour and texture to make beautiful bouquets.

Noel has and continues to contribute to several inspiring horticultural publications including Gardening Australia magazine, Garden Gurus Magazine, (Searles) About the Garden, Subtropical Gardening, and Rural press (Queensland smart farmer).

As a regular and popular speaker at various horticultural societies, clubs and gardening events through southeast Queensland and presenter for the Brisbane city council Noel continues to provide valuable information in floristry skills and sustainable garden practices. Delivering workshops through the BCC library network and also through several independent retailers.

Noel has worked for over twenty years within the retail nursery industry in SE Queensland and in the past has done talkback gardening radio for many years including 4BC Gardening talkback and 612 ABC gardening, and is the current patron for the Forest Lake Garden Group.
