Travelator Upgrade Project

We are pleased to confirm that works are now underway to replace and upgrade the travelators at the Western end of Grand Central, near Coles and Target.

The new travelators will provide an enhanced, energy efficient and more reliable journey, and represent our continued commitment to the ongoing improvement of the Grand Central experience. 

While it’s still too early to confirm exact timings, we expect these works to conclude in September 2024. 

Travel upwards on the travelator will remain available throughout the duration of the works, and a lift will be available for those going down. Directional signage will be in place to aid your journey through the centre. 

Grand Central and shops surrounding the travelator upgrade remain open as usual throughout these works, and we will be working to minimise impacts for our local community as part of our construction management plan.
